Position Overview

The Junior Field Service Technician is responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration, and support of software and technical solutions at client locations. This role involves working closely with senior technicians and engineers to ensure smooth service delivery, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain customer satisfaction. As a junior technician, you will develop your technical skills and gain valuable field experience through hands-on training and real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and integration of software and hardware solutions at customer sites.
  • Provide first-level technical support to resolve basic client issues, escalating more complex problems to senior technicians as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to ensure successful project delivery, adhering to established timelines and quality standards.
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Document installation and support activities, including configurations, issues encountered, and solutions applied.
  • Deliver customer training sessions on basic software functionality and usage.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a technical support, field service, or related role (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply).
  • Basic knowledge of software installation, configuration, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and basic networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting (e.g., computers, peripherals) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours as needed.
  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
