Position Overview

The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for leading the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software and hardware solutions at client sites. This role involves managing complex technical issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. As a senior technician, you will also mentor junior team members, contribute to process improvements, and act as a technical expert for challenging scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment, configuration, and integration of complex software and hardware solutions at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues, providing high-level support to clients and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing training and support to enhance team capabilities and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders, to deliver projects on time and to client specifications.
  • Conduct system testing, upgrades, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Document and maintain detailed records of technical activities, including configurations, resolutions, and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for clients, offering guidance on system usage, optimization, and upgrades.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices relevant to software and system deployment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in field service, technical support, or a related role, with a proven track record of handling complex technical projects.
  • Expertise in software and hardware installation, configuration, and system integration.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for resolving advanced technical issues.
  • Experience with networking protocols, system security measures, and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and manage flexible work hours as required.
  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
